I n th e rescue world, dogs come into foster care who have had very little or no veterinary care. They have either been owned by neglectful or abusive owners, come from the horrors of puppy mills or have been strays on the street. Shelters do not always have the funds available to treat some of the medical conditions these situations may cause. These dogs are often deemed as not adoptable and destroyed.

When Naked K9 chooses to rescue a dog whose history is unknown to us we don't hesitate to take them in. We often find that the dog comes with serious, life threatening health conditions that must be treated before we can find them their forever home. In other cases, when a dog has been in foster care for some time, we may sadly determine that the dog cannot be placed into an adoptive home. This is when we ask for donations to sponsor the dog. These donations are used specifically for the treatment and medical care of that particular dog.

To sponsor a pet

• Start by clicking the "Sponsor Me" link under the photo of the pet that you are interested in sponsoring .
•  Decide whether you want to make a one time or a recurring sponsorship payment. Note: you must have a Business PayPal account to choose the recurring sponsorship option.
• Enter the amount that you wish to send and click "continue"
• You will be asked to review the sponsorship information and can also include a note. Click on "continue" and then "add to PayPal Cart."
• You will then be taken to your PayPal account, where you will log-in and process your sponsorship.
