Adoption pending -Hi there, my name is Joey and I’m being fostered in Texas. By the look of things I’m not considered a corn fed country boy but rather a long cool drink of water. I’m rather tall and lanky but I have the most beautiful honey colored eyes.

I’m a nervous boy and when I met my foster mom I paced in circles all the time. I also wanted to mark. My foster mom had some belly bands made for me which helped but then I went in and had a complete vetting to include being neutered. This has helped me to control my urges and to be honest I really don’t miss them.

I have learned so much being here…. I really need someone who can be patient with me like my foster mom. I have other furbabies here and I get along well with them and size doesn’t matter. I’ve learned sit, down, and walk on a leash. I am also crate trained and have no problem because I also eat my food in there. I meet strangers with no problems but I’m cautious and will look to you for reassurance. I don’t show any signs of aggression and with your help I will settle in nicely. 

I’m looking for a place where I can feel love. I will rub my head against yours and when you pet me I will moan to let you know that I like this. There are still things that I will need to learn so I ask for your patience …. I also like treats and I’m very food driven and quick to learn…..did I mention that I love treats?
