I had a very scary start in life. I was rescued from a situation where overcrowding, and lack of food were the norm. I was hungry all the time and I was a pretty sick little girl when some wonderful humans took me in, gave me lots of love and good food, and nursed me back to health. I am now in tip-top shape and ready to start a new adventure in my forever home.
I have to say I’m a pretty shy little girl. I love being around people, but it takes me awhile to get up close and personal. Once I decide to trust you, I’m happy to get lots pets and sit in your lap. I might even fall asleep on your lap while we are watching TV. When I’ve had enough excitement, I just wander off to a quiet place to relax and recharge.
I’m alert and interested in everything that goes on around me. I’m crate trained and I have a pretty good handle on where I’m supposed to go potty, although I confess I may have a little accident now and then. I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home. I don’t know about cats, because I’ve never met one.
It’s time for me to start my training -- learn some commands, how to walk on a lead, etc. I’m pretty smart and eager to learn. I’m looking forward to working on those things and falling in love with my forever family—and I know you will totally fall in love with me too!
