(adoption pending)Hi!  Are you retired or work from home and looking for a special dog to share your life?  Well look no further – here I am.  My name is Abigail – Abby for short – and I’m practically perfect in every way.  Just ask anyone who has ever met me!  

 

I came from a warm and loving home.  As a result, I know basic commands, I’m housebroken, have excellent recall, and I’m an expert cuddle bug. I love to be held and give kisses.  Some might call me a “Velcro dog,” but they are probably just jealous that I’m so loving and affectionate.  I get along great with other dogs and cats, but I do like to be the center of attention, so would be fine as an only dog.  Afterall it’s all about me!

 

I do have a few little quirks you should be aware of.  I suffer from severe separation anxiety when crated and left alone for hours on end.  If you need to leave for a couple of hours to run errands, I’ll just nap on the couch until you return – as long as you’re not away too long.  I just want to be near my person as much as possible - as long as that person is female.  I’m not a fan of men!  Although I tolerate men, I’ve never been able to warm up even to the nicest gentleman. 

 

According to the veterinarian, I’m in really great shape.  I have a level 3 heart murmur, but no sign of heart disease. About three years ago, I had 3 seizures, reasons unknown, so I was put on small dose Phenobarbital twice a day. I haven’t had a seizure since. (I’m a pro at taking pills by the way!)

 

When I first meet someone, I admit I’m a bit shy and timid, but once I get to know you, I’m a happy, go-lucky, tail-wagging, kind of girl.   If you’re the person for me, then I’m the dog for you.  I’m an awesome little girl who is looking for my own special person who will lavish me with love and attention and I will love them forever in return.
