Hi!  I’m Hana, a Japanese Chin and it is said my ancestors were highly prized by royalty.   Well that makes sense to me, considering how cute I am – let’s face it, I’m downright gorgeous!  I’m a total sweetheart and I don’t have a mean bone in my body!  It’s true – ask anyone.  I believe I would be an excellent “only dog” that you could pamper and spoil to your (or my) heart’s content.  But I love to play with the dogs in my foster home, so having another dog in my forever home is fine with me too.

I’ve been shuffled around a lot, and as a result I’m a super shy girl.  I spent a lot of my short life in a crate, so everything is a new experience for me—grass, people, baths (don’t get me started on baths).  I’m just not very brave and it takes me a long time to get used to new things and people.  Trust doesn’t come easy for me, but still, I’m polite and cooperative.  I would do best in a quieter home without children.  Eventually I come around and when I do, I’m a total love bug.   I love sleeping in bed with my foster mom and insist on morning snuggles and rubs to start my day. 

I admit I do have one guilty pleasure—I love to go outside in the yard and chase things!  Squirrels, butterflies, the other dogs in my foster home -- OMG it’s so fun!   All I need to make my life complete is a forever home.  If you can take the time to help me feel safe and secure, I will be just the BEST dog you can imagine.
