Fostered in Ohio

**adoption pending***Hi everybody!  Rascal here!  My foster Mom says that I am finally ready to find my forever home (not sure why I can't just stay here but she says I can't).  So foster Mom is letting me tell you about myself........kind of like a dating site!  First I am a Peruvian Inca Orchid (https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/peruvian-inca-orchid/) in case you need to read up on my outstanding traits and personality.  I am 4 years old and weigh 45 pounds.  I am experiencing being a happy dog for the first time in my life and because of that I have been told that I am goofball who thinks that your lap is perfectly fine for my napping place.  I love hard chew toys but don't quite get the fetch part of playing with them yet.  Okay so Mom says she needs to chime in..............

Rascal spent most of the first years of his life being confined to a crate.  Now that he is free of that environment he is living out the puppyhood that he missed out on.  Because of that he can be uncoordinated and doesn't understand how big he is and can accidently hurt smaller dogs.  For that reason we would want his forever home to have dogs his size or only slightly smaller.  Older patient children will be considered.....he has not been exposed to many children so his approach is cautious.  He considers the cat in his foster home to be a strange alien being and ignores it.

Rascal is not suitable for a home that does not have a yard and we are requiring a secure fence for him.

Rascal came to Naked K9 heartworm positive and has finally been given the medical clearance needed to allow us to find his forever home.  The rescue requires all of our dogs to be kept on monthly heartworm medication and Rascal will need to be tested again in 6 months to insure that the treatment continues to be successful.
