What can be said about Noah that his soulful eyes don't already say. He is so sweet but is a very shy boy. He loves to be loved on and wants to give love, but, being shy, it does take him a little bit of time to come out of his shell. He is still learning to trust and be a part of a "typical" family lifestyle. He came from a home that had over 30 dogs so he didnt get the attention that he needed and wasn't used to receiving much.

Since he is still working on trust, Noah will need a bit of time to adjust to a new environment. When he first arrived he was very timid and scared and wanted no part of the encouragement that we gave by offering him treats and would release his bowels if something was too much for him. He has not done this since the first few days with us but it may well happen again in a new environment.

In general he likes to keep to himself and will need a bit of encouragement from his new owner/family in getting him to join in and be social. He enjoys his toys, chew bones, attention, rubs, and especially kisses (he doesnt give them but he certainly likes receiving them) but feels more comforatble curled up in a bed and watching from afar. This will change as he comes to know that he is safe and that you are not going to let him be aloof and that you are going to make him be a part of the family. He has made such progress and has finally started to come up to us for petting and kisses but will run if we move too fast. He is slowly but surely understanding that we are good and that he is safe - treats are a major form of encouragment as well!

He has come such a long way since coming to us as our foster. He does get excited when we come back home from being gone, going outside, and definitely at breakfast and dinner time. He will also walk very nicely on a leash but is always a bit hesitant at first, so a very good Martingale harness will be a necessity for him. Martingale collars and harnesses tighten to prevent a dog from backing or wriggling out of them and whenever a dog is unsure or hesitant they generally run if they are freed, so this will prevent that from happening and you can calm him down.

He is very well potty trained and has not had any accidents nor been kenneled when we leave the house. He enjoys the backyard and will bark at strange noises or voices but is easily silenced with a "no."  He gets along with other pets (dogs and cats) but is a bit territorial when it comes to his bed - he doesn't bite but will bark as a means to keep others from encroaching on his "safe haven."

He is 15" long and 15" tall and weighs 16 pounds. He is a bit on the larger side of the spectrum of the Chinese Crested breed but is an absolutely gorgeous boy!

Overall, Noah is a fantastic little guy that will need a very patient owner/family that is willing to work with him on his insecurities and know that he will trust and come
around with the proper encouragement.
