Tia is a 2 year old spayed female hairy hairless Chinese Crested dog. She will come to her new home up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. She is heartworm negative. Tia came into rescue after her owner passed away and she was left in a bad situation but she had a good start in life and she remembers her early training. Although everything seems like a new experience to her as if she was still a puppy. Tia is a total love bug. She craves attention and loves to snuggle. She loves belly rubs. She is very active and playful. She loves to play fetch and tug-o-war. If she is alone, she throws her toys and pounces on them. She loves to chase her tail too. She plays well with other dogs that aren't too rough. I have not had her around cats but she shows no sign of having a prey drive. Tia had a broken leg as a young pup that was surgically repaired by her original owner.  There appears to be no aftereffects from the break.
Tia greets you at the door with twirling, spins & jumping. She is always happy and wagging her tail. She loves going for walks and she walks very nicely at your left side. She actually prances--people comment as we go by! She likes car rides and is a good traveler. She is crate trained. She currently sleeps in her crate at night without a fuss but she would much rather sleep in the bed if you have room! She has great bladder control and appears to be housebroken.
We are working on putting some weight on Tia. She came to us emaciated, weighing only 10 pounds. She has a healthy appetite and no underlying health issues so she should be back up to a healthy weight in no time. She should probably weigh about 12 pounds. The only issue I have with Tia is that she can be a little bit mouthy when she plays--just puppy behavior that was never corrected. I am working with her on this. I don't think it will take her very long to learn as she is very smart! Tia is looking for a wonderful family where she can be HOME!
