Daisy

I have adopted many rescued greyhounds over the years. I wanted to "downsize" as I was getting older and found a rescue with a Chinese Crested powder puff, Rio. He turned out to be a mix but I fell in love with many of the breed characteristics that he had. I found Naked K9 on the web and began to watch for a female Chinese Crested powder puff as a companion for Rio. Daisy was listed and I thought she looked adorable. I filled out an application and when I was approved she became a member of our pack. I renamed her Maddison but she goes by Maddie Moo. She was a timid little thing but after getting over her initial shyness has become a full fledged member - going on our daily walks, chasing birds in the backyard and playing tug of war with her brother Rio. She's got some idiosyncrasies that I love. She spins 360 degrees backwards as I am getting her food ready. She lifts her lips and "smiles" when she is sitting in my lap which makes me laugh. I cannot imagine our life without her now that she is part of it. It was one of my better decisions to look at the website and find her there. I highly recommend anyone looking for a smaller breed to look at this group.

Dougie

Naked K9 alumna, Julie, gets a brother! We decided to add a new member to our family. Lillie's health was starting to fail and we thought Julie needed a younger sibling to play with, and I wanted a puff boy. So I decided to see who was up for adoption at nakedk9. When I saw Dougie I thought he was perfect. I left his picture and info saying I found him, Neil agreed. I asked Sue, Julie's foster mom if she knew Dougie. She gave me Janette's name. Janette and I talked and I put in my application for this handsome boy. I met Janette at a pet smart halfway between where we lived. When I saw Dougie I thought he was even more gorgeous than in pictures. Took him home and Julie and Dougie hit it off right away. Julie is crazy about him. Dougie fit into our family like he always had been with us. He is extremely playful and a real snuggler. I love watching him run around the house with a toy in his mouth. Dougie loves running and chasing cats and squirrels. Dougie got a little brother rescued from a shelter in Oklahoma. Petey is half Dougie's size and they wrestle all the time, Dougie is very gentle with Petey, very fun to watch. Janette had told me that every night before bed she would sing the Dougie sleeps tonight. I have done that every night since he joined our family. We love Dougie and are so happy he is with us. Thank you Janette and nakedk9.
